Pacemaker Controls
The Pacemaker portable DJ device has been greeted with lots of fanfare by the dj community for its ability to allow you to DJ music on the go. I now literally DJ my way to work on the commuter trains. Like any new piece of kit however, we do need to consider the controls, more so on the Pacemaker, as due to the size and layout it does take some getting used to.
Lets have a look at the controls for the Pacemaker:

Step 1- Track selection:
tap the menu surface twice sift the P-bar up and move your finger left/right on the menu surface to filter your libary by track, album, BPM, and artist, the default is track list. move your finger up and down the Pacemaker menu surface to highlight the track and move your finger right to select it. Press the play button, and the track will play out on the channel you selected.
Step 2 - cross fader
with both channels playing, you can move your finger left and right on the cross fader to mix the tracks which play out on the line out.
Step 3 - headphones monitoring
shift the P-button down, use the crossfader to select the channel, left for channel 1 and right for channel 2. You can adjust the volume, by rotating on the surface of the menu surface.
These are the very basic controls for the Pacemaker Portable DJ device, there are more which we’ll look at later, however using these very basic controls, you will be able to start DJing with the Pacemaker.(you can find more DJ music articles on the Pacemaker here)
