DJ Music

So day 3 with the new toy, the Pacemaker portable DJ unit, still chuffed and getting the hang of the controls, it seems a lot easier to control now, and feels good in your hands, no doubt there will already be some DJ out there whos already pumping out music with this DJing monster.

It struck me that assuming enough people catch on to DJing and want to DJ Music on the go, this could be as big as the iPod…it certainly has that class and quality and style that iPod lovers seem to crave, and the functionality and innovation early adopters and any DJ would want. Logically, this would mean all sorts of implications, so here are a few ideas to throw out at you:

1. definatly want to get a cool case of some sort, to keep the Pacemaker from getting damaged when I’m out and about. If the Pacemaker case was water proof even better, that would mean a DJ could DJ music underwater! cool the worlds first underwater rave.

2. speakers that attach to the Pacemaker, hey if you’re going to be a truly portable DJ, you’re gonna want a pair of speakers that are small and portable- if they attach to the Pacemaker in some way that would be cool

3. bling lanyard- ok this is for you Hip Hop DJs out there- we know how you like your Mr T chains, next up…gold plated Pacemaker, as if it wasn’t flashy enough already

4. wireless head phones, bluetooth style…DJs are not afraid of innovation and technology, , my head phone cable, being cheap DJ headphones, kept getting tangled, so having wireless heeadphones for this would make life easier, but make me even more of a geek.

5. a scratch up grade for you turn tablist

6. Portable light show - naturally, you wear this on a helmet whlist you DJ and its rigged up to the Pacemaker.

7. Pacemaker - the VDJ version- mix videos AND music at the same time, on the go

8. an effects attachment similar to the kossilator but smaller, this would give the DJ even more control over the music mix and take using the Pacemaker to the next level.

9. a beat pad, like the MPC but smaller, that you clip on to your finger and DJ using a little pin to press the different pads, even cooler, you can wear it as a ring when not in use.

10. the PacePhone- hey they did it to the iPod, they can do it to the Pacemaker, DJ your phone calls mid conversation, and really screw with peoples minds, in fact take two calls at the same time and mix them together and have a totally incoherent conversation with both parties.

OK, rediculous as this all sounds the Pacemaker is any DJs dream, to be able to mix on the go…to be able to DJ on the Tube, just cool.
